2011 awards presented at annual dinner

NORTHWOOD TOWN CRICKET CLUB held their annual dinner and presentation night at Northwood Golf Club on friday (28th October) night.  First team skipper David Bushnell collected the most awards as he picked up the players' player of the year award, two seven wicket trophies and the most runs in the club.

Bushnell awarded his vice captain Michael Lister the Player of the year award whilst Veer Vadgama collected the young player of the year trophy.  Lister also picked up the award for most runs in the club.

The second eleven players' player of the year went to veteran Neal Furmenger whilst Andy Burt claimed the captain's player of the year.

The third team entered the league for the first time in the club's history and following an encoraging debut season, Mitesh Parmar was nominated as the players' player of the year, whilst also collecting a seven wicket trophy.Vice-skipper Rajul Patel was named as player of the year.

Suvin Mekwan was named as the sunday player of the year whilst Ravi Ramawat picked up an award for the sole century in the club this season.

David Harding was presented with a commemorative award following completion of his 40th playing year at the club.

On a tremendous atmospheric night, the club were further boosted by the news that ex-first team skipper Raj Ahluwalia will be returning to the club in 2012 following a sabbatical at Watford Town.
