Match report Town lost the toss and were asked to field first.

Exiles opening pair started off really well, making use of the hard track and dispatching the new ball all over the park as Town started with 9 men as Exiles were 60/0 off 9 overs. Sajid got the break through with a peach clipping the top of off stump and continued to bowl well removing Azam early too. The only real partnership for Exiles was between Patel and Lawler, apart from that, Town picked up wickets at regular intervals. With several rain intervals and an early tea taken, the match was reduced to 45 overs a side and town restricted Exiles to 198 off their allocated overs.

In response, Town were batting on a wet pitch but this didnt stop the Town openers from playing their shots and the word from the off was not to let Exiles gain any momentum. Loomba and Vadgama did exactly that, respecting the good ball but dispatching the bad balls as the heads dropped form Exiles players. Well ahead of the run rate , the heavens opened up and the game was abandoned with town winning via NRR and Loomba notching up 249 runs not out in 71.1 overs over the two fixtures v Northampton Exiles.
