Match report Town travelled to Luton town & Indians II in a must win game to keep their promotion hopes alive! Losing the toss in 35C heat Luton town had no hesitation to bat first.

Town seamers started well with couple of early breakthroughs from Daly and Syed. But Ahmed and Malik started to put a small partnership together for the 3rd wicket. Malik in-particular was lucky as he was dropped on 3 and then again on 13 and went on to score 70. N Madhavan continued his fine performance with the ball yet again bowling a very tight spell of 10-2-33-2. Mohammed gave Luton town some quick runs at the end as they finished their inning on 222/8 after 50 overs. J Daly yet again bowled great death over spell and finished with figures of 8-2-26-3.

Town were confident of chasing this total and for once failed to get a good start as in form Aggarwal departed early (He is human after all). However, in-form Madhavan and Modi put on 100 runs partnership in which both passed their 50s. It was a partnership that had good running in sweltering heat as well as lovely shots all around the ground. But when Modi got out for 61 and Madhavan for 54 it was all downhill from there as Town middle order collapsed. Daly and Syed gave Town some hope with 34 runs partnership for the last wicket but it was not to be Town losing by 31 runs.
