Match report Town won the toss and chose to bat.

Losing Agarwal early, Loomba joined Nischay on what was a slow wicket and not coming onto the bat. Runs were hard to come by and Town found themselves going at 2 an over after 10. Nischay was caught at midwicket off a full toss and soon followed by Gairola and Anjum who both were caught at mid off/on trying to accelarate the run rate. With the pitch being slow and Loomba struggling for runs and wickets being lost at the other end, he decided to stick around and not take any risks. A good cameo from Burty helped thigns tick over before Loomba decided to take some risks from the 40th over onwards and managed to increase his strike rate. After Loombas departure, Lawrence came in and hit a quickfire 17 to help take the score past 200.

In response, Town seamers started really well, keeping the runs down and taking a couple of wickets in the first 16 overs. The spinners were then introduced and turn only being produced from one end which made it easier for the Colney batsmen from the other end. Some inconsistent bowling helped Colney rack up quick runs and the momentum shifted in their favour. Another excellent spell from Anjum helped him secure 3 wickets despite Colney heading to victory. A late flurry of wickets thanks to Madhavan and Agarwal gave Colney a brief scare but ultimately some dropped catches and poor bowling meant Colney secured the winning runs with 2 wickets to spare.
