Match report A cloudy and rather miserable start to the season both off and on the pitch.

NTCC were asked to take the field. Our bowling was all round very good with tight lines from Thomas, Roney, Het (3 wickets) and Ganesh. Having had the opposition at 41 for 3 after 11 overs we failed to capitalise on our advantage by dropping 7 catches at various locations in the in and out field. We could have easily bowled the oppo out for less than 100 but in the end rued our missed chances. Pradip bowled superbly in the death overs to slow down the scoring and took 3 well deserved wickets. Rickmansworth ended their innings after 40 overs on a total of 189.

Our batting form unfortunately showed the same lack of persistence as our catching, only Kunal (14) making it to double figures. Despite the promise of sunshine, the day became gloomier as the sun managed to stay behind the clouds along with our batting. We ended our innings in the 29th over with a meagre 63 runs on the board.

Onwards to next week, lots of positives early on in the season, lots to work on and refine before next week.
