Northwood Town Cricket Club News story

RIP Emil Pimm

07 Aug 2019

It is with great sadness that we have just been informed of the passing away of Emil Pimm - Marjorie's husband.

Whilst not a cricketer with Northwood Town - Emil's first association with the club was associated with his three son's - Aiden, Dan and Gerry - joining as Colt's in the late 1980's / early 1990's following which he would often be seen at the club watching their progress playing for the senior teams. Over the years Emil assisted Marjorie with the cricket teas - which was primarily by way of sitting on the roof terrace and watching the cricket being played (ie staying out of Marjorie's way) which he thoroughly enjoyed. Although a quiet man - Emil was always seen with a smile on his face and as Brian Hallet has conveyed - "he was one of life's true gentlemen". In recent times because of poor health Emil unfortunately was unable to get along to the Club to watch the cricket but was regularly kept up to date with results etc via Marjorie.

Our sympathies go out to Marjorie, Aiden, Dan, Gerry and other members of the Pimm family.
