Colts day a roaring success

02 Jun 2011

NORTHWOOD TOWN ran a colts fun day for 24 young enthusiasts on bank holiday monday - the beginning of a project that will once more see a thriving colts section and the next generation of cricketers down at Chestnut Avenue.

In a year where Town entered a third team in the league for the first time in their history, the club has showed its intention for
the future with a fun day that was open to 7-10 year olds.

Former county cricketer Richard Logan headed the session up and was supported by a number of Town playing members. All children were presented with a medal and certificate for their participation and there will be a number of fun days during the summer, with Town also linking up with local schools.
