Match report NORTHWOOD TOWN pulled off a critical 129 run victory as David Bushnell was finally able to field an almost full strength first team.

Losing the toss, Town were asked to bat and the in-form Richard Robbins elected for a positive approach as he slayed the bowling attack to all sides of the ground. Robbins hit a swift-fire 57 (1x6, 10x4) as he put on a 74 run opening partnership with the patient Glenn Hodges.

Once Robbins was dismissed, Scott Walker soon followed but Richard Doling and Hodges ensured that the visitors remained in control. The pair put on 122 for the 3rd wicket as Town looked to post a competitive score. Doling was to be dismissed for a stylish 64 as Town looked to increase the tempo.

Hodges had provided a solid backbone for Town and was once again unlucky to fall short of his century as he was finally dismissed for 84 (8x4). Jim Cotton knocked an unbeaten 16 at the end as the visitors finished their innings on 239-6.

Town now had the opportunity to gain their second league win of the season and opened the bowling with the reliable pair of Bushnell (2-17) and Doling. They were soon making inroads as the hosts slumped to 58-4 and 70-6.

Veer Vadgama's (3-23) spinning outfoxed the Rosedale batsmen and Dom Whyley also picked up a wicket. Doling was to finish with 4-57 as the hosts were dismissed for 110, ensuring an excellent victory for a delighted Town.
