Match report JOHANNES Van Ee fell an agonising four runs short of a well deserved century as Town lost by six wickets to a decent looking Ley Hill team.

Winning the toss, Akshay Loomba elected to bat but Town were soon on the back foot as the visiting bowlers looked to take full advantage of the swinging conditions. Only Veer Vadagama (15) showed any sort of form in the top order as the hosts looked in all sorts of trouble early on. However Van Ee and Kyle Lawrence (21) showed their peers how to do it with an exciting partnership
of 96. Both batsmen were not afraid to play their shots and Van Ee in particular crashed the ball to all parts of the ground. The partnership allowed Town to score 196, although Van Ee (96) was disappointed to fall just short of his century.

In reply, Ley Hill took no time in taking on the Town attack and Tocket himself fell just five runs short of the century. Loomba rotated his bowlers well and Connor O'Neill was the pick of them with 2-42. Van Ee and Shaun O'Neill also picked up a wicket apiece but the visitors eased home with six wickets in hand.
