Match report Town's 3rd X1 faced their strongest test of the season and were comprehensively beaten despite some encouraging individual performances.
Fielding first, Town were made to suffer from at least six dropped catches and numerous misfields. However, Sam Brenton (4-42) and Prakash Tailor (4-71) bowled well for the cause. Meeth Katira and Rajul Patel took their first wicket for the club whilst Conor O'Neill picked up his first ever stumping. Town eventually dismissed the hosts for 270.

It was always going to be a hard task to get near the total but Town started sensibly with Havan Patel (19) and Rajul Patel (8) putting
on 33 in the first ten overs. Brenton (13) also contributed but it was skipper Tarang Katira (22) who top scored for the visitors. He was out in a freakish way as he smashed a ball past the bowler, hitting the splice of the bat of his partner before the rebound fell perfectly for mid-wicket to take a catch.
Town were dismissed for 93 but were encouraged by individal performances and an excellent team spirit.
