Match report Northwood Town CC 3XI traveled to Elstree to play Northwood CC 3XI (who play in Div 10)

On a nice sunny day NTCC won the toss and elected to bat first. Several players sporting hangovers from the celebration meal/drink up showed why a big night before a game is never a good idea. Sumeet was the only batsman to stick it out on a green wicket and got his first ever 50. He scored 51 (7x4s & 1x6) and took NTCC score past 100, supported extremely well by Amit. NTCC posted 116runs and that was never going to be enough.

Northwood started their innings very slowly and Meeth on his come back game after several weeks out was rewarded a wicket with a stunning catch from Amit. After that Northwood kept the runs ticking over. A mini collapse saw 3 northwood wickets fall within 2 overs and gave NTCC hope. The 2 remaining batsmen took the game away from Town.

Sumeet - man of the match for scoring the first of many 50s and for outstanding wicket keeping.
