Match report Town slumped to a poor defeat at the hands of high flying Old Elizabethans.

Starting in the field, Town got off to a good start with Malik making an early breakthrough. Despite some consolidation from the home team, they never really clicked into gear and some excellent fielding from Town kept their progress in check too.

Malik, Vanker and Palan were particularly aggressive in the outfield and Town held onto 8 catches in total, keeping the score to 157 all out.

In response a brisk start made sure the run rate was never an issue. As ever though, Town capitulated in uncompromising fashion, stumbling along from 29 for 1, to 5 in no time.

A sixth shortly after brought a determined Maulin Patel to the crease, who along with Unalkat, brought Town back into the game. After the latter departed, another soon followed. When Patel finally fell to a daisy cutter, Town were done an dusted, with the remaining runs a bridge too far for Malik and Wasi. Malik eventually cleaned up and Town all out for 127.
