Match report Losing the toss once again, the 1s were asked to bat first.

After losing the captain early to a plumb LBW, Haji and Amish looked to rebuild, continuing their form from the previous week. Haji looked to tick over the runs whilst Unalkat was the aggressor. A fantastic bit of fielding with a direct hit sent Haji back to the pavilion for a useful 23. Enter Lawrence who looked to manipulate the field, pushing hard for 1s and 2s. Unalkat missed out on a maiden half century when trapped LBW by Masson. Lawrence was well supported on his way to an excellent 74 by Burt and Lister before Vadgama and Malik got town to a competitive 251.

In response, the Hoddesdon opening pair looked to take the attack to Town with an opening partnership of 109. Heat used the short boundary to his advantage, showing no mercy to any bowler he faced.The game seemed to be running away from Town as Hoddesdon were easily scoring 10 an over until the reliable Krunal picked up Heat after one big shot too many.

Despite removing Heat, the Hoddesdon batsmen continued to trouble town with another 85 run partnership. Exhausted of all option, Loomba decided to roll the dice and bowl himself - something that hasn't worked in the past, but worked today. With career best figures of 4-32, Loomba removed the dangerous Friars for 89 and worked his way through the middle order. Complimented well with some economic bowling by Vadgama, who also took a couple with him to get Hoddesdon 7 down.

It was too little too late as Hoddesdon reached the target with 2 overs to spare but Northwood Town can be proud in the fact that they managed to almost turn the game to bring it to the last couple of overs after such an appalling start.
