Match report On a warm but windy day, The Mighty 3s travelled to Watford Town seeking to improve on last week's performance. Having lost the toss NTCC were asked to bowl first on track that looked decent but soon showed it would favour the bowlers. Parmar and Pandey who were both incredibly disciplined throughout, tested the batsmen constantly and it was the latter who enjoyed the spoils, all five of them, assisted with good catches by Bentvelzen at slip and Khetia to leave Watford feeling the pressure. K Tailor and M Katira both joined the party to pick up a couple of wickets apiece and a special bit of fielding saw the Tailor cousins combine as Keran gathered and threw to Prakash who whipped the bails off to force a run out. This with a good display of fielding all-round left Town only requiring 58 to win. This was achieved with some ease in the end as Pandey and Balakrishnan saw it home for the loss of only one wicket. After that we had a nice tea and went home. It was though a great display from the lads today. The bowling was excellent, the fielding was good, we took our catches and batted sensibly, everything the skipper asked for and boy did they deliver. It was great to see guys like Firfire and "Silver Fox Harding" diving around in the field and the always amusing batsman taunting from T Katira. Let us enjoy today's performance, befitting of a Mighty 3s team of old but be aware that tough encounters still lie ahead.
