Match report On a sunny day the NTCC Sunday Warriors travelled to Wembley to play Harrow Weald for our last game of the season. Skipper J.B. managed to not win a single toss all season and Town found themselves fielding first, something we've become used to. However opening bowlers Rudra Shah and Saw Malik did what they've been doing throughout the summer and took early wickets to put the opposition under pressure, assisted by some good catches from Woodward and Nakum. Jay Patel was brought into the attack and was unlucky to have an edge not taken off his bowling. Weald's middle order managed to settled and scored quickly on the fast outfield although Puwar with two wickets slowed their progress. A wicket for Nakum at the backend of his spell and a couple from Viral Patel quickly changed the game in Town's favour suddenly, with Weald being 8 down for around the 200 mark. However, despite our best efforts and some good shots from their batsmen we weren't able to finish them off before a total of 289 was posted. Town openers Ramawat and Tushar Shah like most of our batsmen today got off to good starts with some nice shots before getting out although Woodward and Shaw did get out to good deliveries. Nakum did well for his 37 but the man who has impressed most and has been a star all season was Rudra Shah, who's innings resembled that of a seasoned pro, dispatching the ball to all parts of the ground to help Town achieve a very respectable 214 for 7. A huge thank you must go to all those who played Sunday cricket this year and the growth in some of our younger players has been huge, with some good wins along the way as well.
