Match report Town 2nd XI welcomed Datchworth at Chestnut Avenue on a dry sunny day. Given the condition, town won the toss and elected to bowl first.

New ball was shared by Patel brothers, Pratik & Pradip who both made full use of the helpful conditions and bowled tight spells and Pandey was rewarded with a wicket for his hard work. Patel was unluck to pick any wickets. After loosing couple of early wickets, Datchy started rebuilding their innings with the help of their skippers and took the scoreline to 70/2 at the end of the 23rd over.

Aggarwal introduced into the attack and broke the partnership and ran through the remaining Datchy line-up without any fuss. Datchworth finished their innings on 113 in 43 overs. Aggarwal bowled a superb spell of 9 overs taking 7 Datchworth's wickets!

Town started with Gairola and Ramawat and both found it hard to get going given the nature of the pitch. Anjum, who can do this in the middle of his sleep, steered the town chase with sold defence and unshakable resolute. Town won the game by 5 wickets with 5 wickets in hand.

It was a crucial game for Town as it puts them back on the long road to the top spot. A win that was much needed and deserved. Some class performances by Aggarwal with the bowl and Anjum later with the bat.
