Match report "The Umpire Strikes Back".....that probably sums up Saturday's game along with the lost toss, dropped catches, and oasis of bowling extras and fielding errors...

Despite superb batting knocks from Thierry (39) , Cijine (34) and Kishan (53 not out) NTCC posted what we thought would be a competitive total especially as the oppo were rolled for 100 runs last week by Redbourn. A total score of 193 in the 40 overs felt comfortable even though we had batted on a wet outfield and a slowish wicket.

However despite 2 early wickets from your Rudra, a caught behind and a plumb LBW, the opposition batted patiently and their number 3 struck an impressive 92 to secure a victory within 30 overs.
JB bought a glimmer of hope with his guile and spin grabbing 2 wickets at the later stage of the OC innings with young Myring bamboozling their No 5.

Overall lots of lessons learnt and many positives especially on the batting front, onwards....let's keep our position at the top of the division.
