Match report Having won the toss, the day being a bit over cast and the ground being slightly spongy captain
Harry decided to to bowl first. It seemed that it had paid off bowling Chorleywood 4s out for 67.
Pick of the bowlers being young M Butt playing in only his second adult game of cricket with
figures of 4 wickets off 8 overs for 7 runs with 3 maidens, closely followed by M Mobeen with 3
wickets from 5 overs for 3 runs with 3 maidens. 15 year old L Kumar opened, bowling his
maximum amount of 6 overs taking 2 wickets for 16 runs. S Subiah who also opened taking 1
wicket from his 6 overs for 19 runs. Good figures also for A Joshi 6 overs for 7 runs with 2
maidens and U Butt 3 overs for 5 runs with 1 maiden. Unfortunately the Town could not back up a
good afternoon in the field with the bat getting bowled out for 43. U Butt being the only batsmen
to get into double figures but only just with 11 runs. So some extra net practice for the 4s this
week and onwards to West Herts for the next match.
