Match report A scorcher of a day and Town 3's lifted themselves off the floor after last weeks chastening loss with a thoroughly professional performance and the double over Potten End II's.

Losing the toss Town 3's were asked to field. Although it was a hot day the track was used and quite green. Opening the bowling were Kumar (5-0-22-0) but undoubtedly the star of the show was Tripathi (8-4-8-5). Tripathi bowled with immense precision and guile dumbfounding the Potten End batsmen into playing around the ball delivery after delivery. First Change bowler on the end was Jay Patel (6-1-4-3) who is demonstrating further skill and maturity with game under the stewardship of Firfire. Town ended the Potten End innings in 22.5 over with a target of 45.

Opening the batting were old heads Pandey (11*) & Firfire (12) who put on a partnership of 33 for the first wicket and putting the game to bed despite the flurry of wickets falling in the closing stages.

Next week Town III travel to West Herts looking to keep the momentum going.
