Match report Town 2nd XI won the toss and elected to bat first. Gairola got out early and that got Aggarwal and Ramawat together. Pitch that looked hard and good to bat on was doing all sorts early on and batting seemed tricky/. Together they tried to steady the ship and added 40 runs together before both batsmen got out in quick succession. Anjum and Mekwan took their time and applied themselves but just when they seemed getting to the terms of the pitch, town again lost both the set batsmen in quick succession. Sudagaran showed some spark but was very unlucky to have got caught out on the boundary (or lack of it) to a catch that some suggested was actually a 6. Except contributions from Malik & Syed at the bottom, town tail couldnt deliver and town ended up with 140 for 10 in 45 overs.

One of SM opener came out with clear intent and played shots from ball one and added quick 33 to the scoreboard before getting out by a brilliant catch at the boundary by Anjum. Despite all the efforts from all bowlers town just couldn't take wickets in quick succession which was the ask given a small total. SM kept building small and crucial partnerships and were 100/4 in 30 overs.

There was a brief wicket fall and it was 114/7 giving a sniff but the 8th wicket partnership from SM survived a last big push from town and secure the game for SM.

Tough loss but we stay positive and support each other. These are the times (tough) when a character of individuals or teams shine through. Lets shine high & bright.
