Match report Town hosted Flitwick III’s at home on the 4th June and after a quick toss, Town elected to bat first on a good pitch, prepared by our groundsman. Town opened the batting with Akshay Loomba returning for a game in the twos and with Deepak, lead Town.

However, Deepak Gairola fell early and was caught for 0, leaving town reeling with another early wicket loss. Ravi Ramawat came in at number 3 and with Akshay faced a few balls till Akshay fell next to Flitwick’s bowling attack. Harry Shaw walked in next and with Ravi, they both put together a few runs before Ravi fell next. Amish came out to bat and with the support of Harry started to out together a few runs, scoring 21 and keeping town’s scoreboard ticking before Harry fell for 14. Cijine came out to replace Amish and top scored for Town with 23 runs playing some nice shots and after Cijine fell, Town started to collapse with batsmen falling for short scores. Flitwick eventually rolled town over for 112 runs in 35 overs.

After a short turnaround, Town headed out to bowl and things looked good early on, with Akshay Loomba taking a wicket on his ball of the spell as he opened the bowling with Sajid. However, Flitwick weathered the early danger from town and went on to accelerate, chasing the score within 18 overs, with R.Timms top-scoring for Flitwick with 29.

A nice touch to the game was the minutes silence as a tribute to a former Flitwick player that had passed away.
