Match report The fourth league game of the season welcomed Chorleywood 3's to Chestnut Avenue.

After losing the toss; Town 3's were put into bat on a two paced and variable bounce wicket. The innings started very well against some of the most accurate bowling this season, with openers Pandey (16) and Javaid (12) reaching 34-0 after 12 overs. Then Town 3's were found Guilty in a Trial by Spin. The change of pace ripped through our top and middle order leaving the score on 45-4 after 19 overs. Two further quick wickets either side of drinks left Town 3's on 46-6 after 22 overs. It was down to Firfire (16) and Puwar (36) to rebuild. Together they put on a 50 run partnership to salvage the innings and scrape to a respectable score of 115 but never likely to be enough.

After a short tea interval Town bowlers got to work. Syed (8-0-19-0) proving that just that little bit too good, causing the Chorleywood Batsman to play and miss several times. On another day a hatful of wickets would be picked up. Henry Myring (5-014-2) picked two early wickets proving bowling at the stumps was the way to go. A change of pace with Puwar (8-0-18-3) ripped though the Chorleywood middle order and at drinks the game was in the balance at 59-5. With Chorleywood not needing to score at more than 3 an over they had the luxury of defending the good balls and put the bad balls away reaching the target with 6 overs to spare.
