Match report Another Summer Saturday took Northwood Town III's to Little Chalfont to play Chorleywood III's at Westwood Park. It was hardly the verdant green green grass of home with scenes akin to those found in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Yet another lost toss and Town were surprisingly put into bat. The innings started badly with the openers both gone in the first 10 overs. But that bought P. Pandey (43) and B. Shah (62) to the wicket. Together they put on 50 for the 3rd wicket and really got Town back into the game. Despite Pandey getting out; Shah continued on eventually getting out in the 38th Over. By that time Town had scored 163 all out in the 40th Over.

After the 30 minute interval and Town came out bowling with aggression and guile. Amriwala (8-0-31-2) took a while to find his range on a wicket with a tricky slope. R. Shah (8-1-21-3) bowled exceptionally well from the outset, proving just too quick for the Chorleywood batters.

At the 20 over mark Chorleywood were right in the game with a partnership that was really beginning to build. A change of bowling with Amriwala and R. Shah back on got the the 2 set batters out. With a superb run out from Cherian (5-018-3) the pressure was mounting but the score card was edging ever closer.

A dropped catch from Firfire for the last wicket and the game could have been done but T. Geevarghese (6.2-1-19-1) spared the skippers blushes and Town wrapped up a well earned and hard fought victory.
