Match report NTCC Bounce Back in Style with Dominant Win at Hatch End 🏏

After two tough losses, NTCC arrived at Hatch End with a clear mission: to bounce back. And bounce back they did — delivering a spirited and complete team performance that resulted in a commanding 93-run victory and signaled a resounding return to form.

Batting First — A Measured Start, a Mid-Innings Rally

Winning the toss, skipper Shah opted to bat first, looking to apply scoreboard pressure. Openers Bijendra and Jay gave NTCC a steady start, seeing off the new ball and laying a solid foundation. However, the early momentum was checked when Bijendra fell to a mistimed shot.

Jesant joined Jay at the crease, and the pair kept the innings ticking with sharp running and clever strike rotation. Just as they seemed to be settling in, both were dismissed in quick succession — a brief setback that threatened to derail the innings.

Enter Mitesh Ponda, whose presence in the middle overs proved pivotal. With energetic running and composed play, he kept the innings alive and the scoreboard moving. Though the dismissal of Burty sparked a mini-collapse, Shah and Puwar steadied the ship at the tail end. Their calm strokeplay and a few well-timed boundaries helped NTCC reach a competitive 172 all out in 37.4 overs.

Bowling Brilliance — Ruthless from Ball One

Defending 172, NTCC’s bowlers came out with fire in their bellies. Openers Rudra and Jeet set the tone early, dismantling Hatch End’s top order with a spell of fast, accurate, and relentless bowling. In no time, the hosts were reeling at 27-5, stunned by NTCC’s intensity.

With the top order in tatters, any hopes Hatch End had of a fightback were crushed by Aashir, who delivered a devastating spell. His fiery pace and aggressive line saw him rip through the lower order, claiming his maiden five-wicket haul for the club — a standout moment in a standout performance.

Hatch End were eventually skittled for just 79 runs in 26.2 overs, handing NTCC a thumping 93-run win.
