Club Secretary Update - Message from Chairman David Harding

30 Apr 2024

As your current Chairman I have to announce that Jack Daly has tended his resignation as Club
Secretary.
I for one will greatly miss Jack’s involvement as my No 2 in administering club aƯairs and dealing
with the multitude of issues that come up at NTCC and being someone that you knew you could
always rely on to deal with anything that arose.
Some Club members might not be aware that only in the last year Jack more or less single
handedly was instrumental in the Club acquiring our latest Club Mark accreditation which is a
major achievement .
In his two years as Secretary Jack remarkably still found the time and energy to play the leading
role as Development Manager of the Junior Section of the Club which I understand he will still
continue to do.
This was as well as playing a very pro-active role in the Bar management along with Adam and
Abdul.
The Club is therefore looking for a person willing to take over the Secretarial role and work
alongside me to ensure that the Club’s administration is eƯectively managed over the next few
years. By this I am inferring that in the best interests of the Club someone should be prepared
to continue in that role for at least 2 years.
If you were prepared to step forward and take on this prestigious Club role then please
approach either Nischay, Jack, or myself at the earliest opportunity whereupon we can advise
as what the role entails. We do have a guidance sheet that lists out all the roles and
responsibilities of the secretary which can be forwarded to you if you were interested in taking
on this position.
We are very fortunate that Abdul has very kindly taken on the role of interim secretary but this is
for a limited time only.
