Match report Northwood Town were comprehensively outplayed by table-toppers Ickleford and will now be relying on a more settled team as they face a hard battle to avoid relegation.

David Bushnell won the toss and unsurprisingly was asked to field in the sweltering conditions. The hosts took no time to settle down and took advantage of an excellent wicket and a fast outfield to put Town's bowlers to the sword. The visitors were not helped by some often dire fielding and Ickleford raced to 277-3 with Jack Daly picking up 2-47 for Town.

In reply, the visitors started well with the returning pair of Richard Robbins (35) and Scott Walker (30) putting on 67 for the first wicket. Veer Vadgama scored 29 but the remaining eight batsman could muster only 20 runs between them with some awful shot selection and Town were wiped away for just 119.
Bushnell will now be relying on better availability as the crucial part of the season begins from next saturday.
