Northwood Town Cricket Club Lost By 125 Runs

Match report Towns Sunday XI poor form continued with a 125 run loss to Old Haberdashers.

Skipper Firfire was pleased to win the toss and insert the visitors in to bat first and was nearly rewarded with a wicket in the first over. But this just wasn’t to be their day with the visitors skipper; Ishmael Brown plundering 118 runs, despite being dropped 5 times. Vadgama (0-33) bowled with real venom but went unrewarded with Loomba, Graham and Mekwan getting the breakthroughs.

Towns batting got off to a bad start with 4 wickets lost in the first 10 overs. Despite some resistance from Mekwan (27), Graham (28) and Loomba (28) town were all out in 24 over’s.

With better catching and more disciplined batting this could well have been an altogether more positive performance. Plenty to work on before the Chess Valley League kicks off next Sunday against Harrow St. Mary’s.
