Match report With heavy rain throughout the afternoon, Northwood Town's game at Northampton Exiles was eventually abandoned as a draw after just 30.4 overs had been bowled.

NTCC were put into bat on a green and popping wicket and were soon struggling at 14-3. Phil Carter realised that it was not a pitch on which you can let the bowlers bowl at you, and counter-attacked with a quick-fire 20 off 16 balls. However, 2 more wickets followed with the score on 38 and it needed a rain break for Town to compose themselves. After the rain interruption, the bowlers found it more difficult to hit the right areas and a dogged display from Mikhil Patel (31 off 58 balls) and Richard Doling (31 off 41 balls) in an excellent 50 partnership allowed Town to reach 122-8 before the heavens opened again.

Tea was taken during the rain interruption but further rain meant that the umpires and the captains were forced to reluctantly concede defeat to the weather, with the two sides sharing 10 points each and a couple of jugs in the bar.
