Match report Summer finally arrived in Northwood and in a must win game for Town, Abbots Langley won the toss and elected to field.

Rajul Patel was the dominant force for Town scoring an excellent 52 after solid help from Graham (15) and Khetia (39). Although the score was ticking over, wickets fell in quick succession thanks to some probing bowling from Abbots' youngsters. A brief but spectacular Ravi Doshi cameo (18, 3 sixes) pushed the innings back towards an imposing total and set the stage for Minesh Vadgama to play one of his finest knocks for Town, scoring an unbeaten 47 off just 24 balls, pushing the total to an impressive 224 for 9.

In response, Abbots began promisingly until the pacey Jack Daly and evergreen Neal Furmenger took 3 wickets in 3 balls. With this crushing blow Abbots began to rebuild until another Furmenger breakthrough prompted another collapse. The away side fell from 47 for 3 down to 60 for 8, blown away by some excellent fielding including a sharp run out from Katira and a couple of safe catches from Doshi.

The response though was valiant with the 9th wicket stand producing 51 runs until Daly finally picked up the remaining 2 wickets - Town bouncing back from the disappointment of last weeks defeat with an emphatic victory winning by 110 runs.

Although there were a number of good performances from Town players, captain Khetia reserved special praise for Abbots bowler Pattni who picked up 6 wickets, 22 runs and the man of the match award.
