Match report Town carried on their fantastic run of form with a hard fought win against a youthful Met Police side.

Having put the opposition in, Khetia turned to the regular Parmar and evergreen Pandey with the new ball. It was Parmar who made the initial breakthrough capturing with a fine take from Tailor.

As the innings progressed, runs rarely flowed and a decent burst from the skipper ensured wickets fell regularly. With the innings coming to a close though some exciting shots took the visitors to a respectable 143 for 8.

In response, Town responded well to the early loss of Rajul Patel, with Ramawat playing excellently until an excellent catch saw his demise. Pandey continued to score steadily though while Nic Patel blasted his way to a quick fire 23.

Poor shot selection saw the wicket of Firfire fall quickly though, but the damage was done. Palan and Pandey played and excellent partnership of 62 aided by some tiring bowlers and though Pandey fell at the end Vadgama smashed the winning runs off his first ball to see Town home.

Khetia was more than happy with the team performance after the game - 'Another cracking effort from the team, led by Pradip with the bat after some great bowling from Mitesh and Minesh tied them down. Credit to Met Police Bushey though, they put up a tremendous fight and will be a tough team in years to come'
