Match report After winning the toss, Khetia opted to bat on a decent looking track.

Haji got Town off to an absolute flyer before falling victim to some uneven bounce. The returning Mekwan was in fine form following up though and along with Ramawat, Town motored along bringing up the 50 off 7 overs.

The scoring continued at a blistering pace until Mekwan departed and some atrocious calling saw Lawrence sold down the river.

After a slow rebuilding process, Town looked to accelerate, but the loss of Ramawat after a solid 57 and two further wickets looked to have swung the game in Langleybury's favour.

Some tremendous batting from Vanker and Patel, however, saw Town take the initiative and an explosive cameo from Daly propelled the home side to 234 for 8 off their overs.

In response the metronomic Furmenger and the wily Patel quickly built up pressure and the continued excellence from Town in the field saw 3 wickets fall and the game effectively beyond Langleybury after 15 overs.

The visitors showed spirit though and despite some tight middle over bowling from Daly and Khetia, they remained in the game. The run rate, however, was pushing up and up with each passing over. Despite some fine hitting down the order, it was to prove too much as Malik ripped through the lower order with a fine second spell. The visitors finished up on 194 for 9 and Town had their first victory of the season.

Khetia was understandably delighted after the game. "The positivity shown by the players was outstanding and we looked to dominate which was pleasing. There are still a few things we can work in with bat and ball, but overall a great display from the lads and those all important 30 points."
