Match report A day to forget for the 2s as they suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Berkhamsted.

Having been sent into bat, 2 early wickets put Town on the backfoot immediately. Thakrar, Haji and Vanker all played well, but were unable to stick around on a pitch that plagued that claimed most of the team.

Credit has to be given to the visitors though, who maintained excellent control throughout the innings.

In response Town began well, using the minefield to good effect. However, aside from a few new ball overs, it was only Furmenger who exerted any pressure on the batsmen. When the predicted rain delay came, Town were hoping for some renewed life in the wicket. Unfortunately though, it seemed to have the opposite effect as Berkhamsted sent the ball to all parts and condemned Town to a crushing defeat.

Khetia gave an honest assessment after the game - "Credit to Berko, they were much the better side today and played us off the park. The pitch was very difficult before the rain oddly, but they still bowled and fielded exceptionally well. A lot of work needed from us!"
