Match report On a cloudy day the Northwood Town Sunday XI went to play a top quality and friendly King's Langley, in the 2nd round of the cup. Having won the toss Town decided to bat first on decent pitch which occasionally offered a bit for the bowlers. Unfortunately for the Town it didn't take long for those bowlers to show their abilities which was backed up by some sharp catching as they worked through our batsmen. Some resistance was shown from Loomba and Sharma but it wasn't enough by to post anything near a competitive total. After a decent a tea Town took to the field and although they tried, were unable prize out either of the openers who both played very well to score the required runs. King's Langley thoroughly deserved their win today as man for man they were the superior side and it showed. We need to preserve our wickets better if we are to get closer to teams like that but I can't fault any of the guys who turned up today. Thanks to Colin and Maulin for umpiring and scoring for us.
