Match report Northwood Town 1s blew Chipperfield away with an outstanding bowling display, getting back to winning ways in fine style.

After being put into bat, Town were in trouble after two early wickets on a pitch that had a bit in it for the seamers. Lawrence (38) and Lister (25) steadied the ship with a 63 partnership before the mini collapse that led to 4 middle order wickets for just 6 runs. Useful contributions from Mikhil Patel and Krunal Patel got Town to a respectable total of 143 which was worth a lot more given the slow outfield.

The Chipperfield reply never got started as Veer Vadgama and Chandana Silva took early wickets, bowling with guile and great discipline to an attacking field for 20 straight overs. Jack Daly again showed up with key wickets in a short spell but the spin of Krunal Patel (10 overs, 3 for 11) and an excellent fielding display from the whole team provided the foundation for victory. Daly returned to polish off the tail and Town were rewarded with 30 hard earned points against a decent Chipperfield side.

Town take on Watford Town, away, on Saturday 4 June - looking to solidify their position in the top half of the table.
