Match report Northwood Town's 1s ended up with a draw against North Mymms in an up and down game at Chestnut Avenue, with Town never really hitting their straps in the field or with the bat.

A frustrating performance was epitomised by the catching, 3 regulation chances going down in the first 12 overs. Nevertheless Vadgama (2-27) and Lawrence (1-29) stuck to the task, both getting plenty of swing and both unlucky not to finish with more wickets. Krunal Patel (2-69) and Silva (2-43) both bowled decent spells and some excellent deliveries but couldn't tie down the North Mymms batters who managed to get 190 from their 53 overs.

This would have been over par on a difficult wicket and slow outfield, and the job for Town's batsmen became twice as hard when openers Akshay Loomba and Suvin Mekwan both fell for ducks. Kyle Lawrence (35) and Michael Lister (43) put on an 80 partnership in 20 overs to bring Town back into the game but with Mikhil Patel also departing without troubling the scorers the game lurched back into North Mymm's hands. Enter Andy Burt who scored a sublime 48 not out but with partners running out and the run rate getting too much for Town's lower order, settling for a draw became the only option.
