Match report Town were demolished by a rampant Berkhamsted in a hard encounter. Having been sent into bat, Town initially made steady progress with Ramawat and Haji putting on 68 for the first wicket.

Sadly for Town, that was where the highlight reel ended, with only Unalkat and Malik making it into double figures thereafter. With some excellent lines, the home team bowled themselves into the box seat, Town ending on 128 all out.

The champions received a deserved guard of honour at the halfway stage, with the title firmly secured.

In response, Debonnaire was in the mood to make light of his name and began by bludgeoning Malik for 3 boundaries off the first 3 balls. Khetia didn't fare much better at the other end and despite picking up Lewis for a duck, Berkhamsted were already on 32 after 3.3 overs.

Although Wasi and Syed also picked up scalps, Debonnaire was utterly rampant at the other end. Having taken apart every bowler, he finished off the game with 3 monstrous sixes off Cheesewright.

It wasn't the end that 'Cheesey' has hoped for, but there was another guard of honour lined up, this time for him, at the end of the match. Both sides showed their appreciation for a man who has given so much in the name of club cricket. Neil Cheesewright, a legend and a man who's tireless efforts with the NTCC colts may well have secured them cricket for another generation.
