Match report The Sunday season at Northwood Town got off to a positive start as our Sunday Warriors beat Pinner by 161 runs. Loomba and Bentvelzen got us off to a solid start flaying 47 off of 7 overs. Then a few wickets fell and it was up to Ravi Ramawat and Krunal Patel to revive the innings which they did to great effect, Biffing their way to 41 and 57 respectively. Town managed to post 238 from 39 overs with notable flourishes from Shahmir and Richard Kessel.

In reply Pinner's Innings was immediately restricted as Kyle Lawrence and Jack Daly hit their lines and lengths. Pinner went about the business cautiously but our bowlers kept going and found their rewards. Jack Daly and Krunal Patel picked up crucial wickets, Jack taking 2 and Krunal 3. With Pinner 6 wickets down the 7th wicket pair dug in and blunted the Northwood Town bowling attack for 10 overs. Nishil Mapara came back on and broke the partnership. Then Bentvelzen took centre stage with a fine display of leg break bowling to lower order batsmen to blow away the last 3 wickets. The Town managed to bowl Pinner out for 77 which reflected the effort put in by the bowlers and team mates in the field. It was a real pleasure to captain the Sunday team for the first time and I hugely appreciate all of your support!
