Match report Town travelled to Hertford III looking to make it 3 wins on the trot. Stand in skipper K Patel won the toss and chose to bat first on a very hot day looking to post a massive total.

Town lost Mihir Patel early but the in-form Vadgama continued his fine season with the bat with composed 51. He was supported very well by F Haji who scored 48. Together they put on 117 runs partnership. What followed after that was a typical Town batting collapse with at least 6 batters giving their wicket away very cheaply to leave Town 179/8. Town were again relying on the lower order to contribute with the bat and post a competitive total. Just like on many occasion this season already they delivered. First Maulin Patel and Jack Daly put on 32 runs partnership in just 6 overs. And when Maulin Patel got out for Town leaving them 211/9. Young Wasi (26 runs) and J Daly then added partnership of 42 with fine stroke play and excellent running between the wickets to finish on 252 all out. J Daly again remained not out for Town taking his season average over 80 after being dismissed only once whole season.

After the tea Town saw finest spell of opening bowling from V Vadgama (6-4-3-0) and Maulin Patel (10-1-29-1). Maulin was particularly unlucky not to have picked up more wickets after beating the batsmen on number of occasions. This left Herford 11/1 after 12 overs and left them mountain to climb chasing 252. K Patel and Mihir Patel both bowled with control picking up 3 wickets between them. However K Lawrence was pick of the bowler with 4 wickets to his name which brought well deserved 30 points for the town.

After the game K Patel spoke: This was a massive win for us which leaves our destiny in our own hands to survive the division. We need to secure 4 points from the last game against Chorleywood to make sure of our survival which I have no doubt will be achieved on the back of 3 successive wins.
