Match report A delightful day out at the OMT ground at Merchant Taylor's School in Northwood. The match was held on the main county square in front of the old pavillion. Town won the toss and chose to bat on what appeared to be a dry, hard wicket which had been under covers during the previous wet week.

Openers Lal and Tushar got off to another solid start , however mistimed pull shots from both openers left Town with an early wobble at 45 for 2 after 11 overs. Keeran and Neel steadied the innings with a 30 run partnership, wickets then fell quickly on what turned out to be a slightly 2 paced low bouncing wicket. At the 28th over Town had crawled to 93 for 7 but the opposition's early celebrations of an easy finish were quickly muted when young Arav (43) and the experienced Kishan (22) exploded with an abundance of lusty and beautifully timed blows over the boundary ropes. Town ended their innings on a defendable 173 all out.

Town took took to the field and despite some tight line and length bowling from the openers Saahil and James, some early chances did not stick. The wicket appeared to be playing slower and after both opening bowlers had finished their quota of 8 overs, OMTs had pushed along to 58 for 2. Town continued to apply pressure in the field knowing that the run rate would force the wickets. It was an amzing 20 yard direct hit run-out from from Kishan fielding at point that swung the pendulum firmly back in Town's favour. Rudra bowled with his nomal tight lines and niggling pace, whilst Harry bowled the perfect guise at the other end to bamboozle and add further pressure to the dwindling run rate. Harry was rightly rewarded with 4 wickets and it was left to Kishan to clean-up the tail within 34 overs.

A near text book team performance. Once again the 3s are are all about the team and regardless of batter or bowler, there are always opportunities for everyone to perform and demonstrate their talent.
