Match report Well another week of wet weather and wet pitch. Huge thanks to NTCC grounds staff again for preparing a track that would have seen us through the 40 overs.

NTTC won the toss and strategically chose to field first - also known as a Gordy special.

Hiren and Rudra began the attack and straight off the 1st tee both picking up wickets and putting Leverstock immediately onto the back foot. The opening bowling attack continued to apply pressure and Leverstock never had a chance to settle. Wickets fell at regular intervals and supported by some excellent fielding and a run out . By the 11th over 6 wickets had fallen and the score had crept into double digits. Hiren bagged a beautiful 6 wicket haul including a superb runout. Rudra showed immense talent by bowling perfect lines and length and earning two wickets. NTCC wrapped up the innings with Puwar bowling in his first 3s league game and knocking over the last 2 batsmen in consecutive overs. A clinical and textbook bowling and fielding performance.

NTCC resumed after tea to chase a meagre 44 runs. The batting dynasty of father and son Tushar and Rudra kicked off the NTCC innings. Rudra played sensibly studying each delivery with scholarful detail whilst keeping the score board ticking along. At the other end Tushar played his natural innings hitting the boundary regularly. The run chase was completed in the 11th over without any drama.

Despite the low score , a win is a win and we keep our record intact at the early part of the season. Keep focused and let's continue to enjoy our Saturday afternoon cricket !
