Match report Looking to get a win and rescue the season, Town headed over to Stevenage to get a win and get the team back on track. After winning the toss, Town chose to bat and Town started off well, Keeran and Ravi scoring a few runs and looking positive. However, Keeran soon was run out via Mankad, bringing in Bijendra, who batted fantastically, pushing the singles, hitting any loose shots, and scoring plenty of boundaries, including 4 sixes. The combination of good batting from Bijendra (58), Harish (39) and Cijine (65) allowed Town to score a very impressive score of 245 in 40 overs.

Feeling positive after a great batting performance, Town headed out to bowl and started off well with Sajid taking 2 wickets in the first 10 overs. Town kept the pressure up and after first change, Keval and Hiren came into bowl with Hiren taking two wickets, however, Town kept conceding too many extra runs through loose deliveries and midfield. Ganesh, Harish, Keeran and Cijine all came in for short spells to try to disrupt the runs and take some wickets, but Stevenage was just patient enough to wait for the loose balls and hit them for boundaries whilst playing the good deliveries for their merit. After their 7th wicket partnership of 50, Town had let another game slip as Stevenage chased the score within 38.5 overs. The manner of this defeat was very heavy after having scored a very good total but the way in which Town lost the game deflated the mood of the team. Unfortunate to lose this game, onto next week boys!
