Match report The Town 3's back on the road up to Watford Town looking to erase the poor batting performance from the previous week.

Captain Firfire (finally) won the toss and put the opposition into bat. Amriwala & Joshi bowled very well up front but sometimes the luck just isn't with you with Watford Town 4's openers riding their luck and swiping across the line and getting the occasional boundary. However the Town team kept the score in check. A change of bowling with Town stalwart Syed (5-0-23-2) coming in and getting a breakthrough just before drinks. After a spot of Watford Town's squash the Town bowlers really turned things around. Amriwala (8-1-27-3) returned for his second spell from the opposite end and immediately picked up some wickets. At the other end Tripathi (8-2-20-4) continued his fine form this season with Joshi although unlucky not to get any wickets, he did take two excellent catches.

The final pairing for Watford Town put on a frustrating 27 runs but a change of pace with Janardhanan put an end to the innings with the target to chase of 114.

A new week a new opening paring of Pandey & Javaid for the Town 3's. Pandey unlucky to get out early pushing at the ball. Javaid after a couple of lusty blows down the ground getting out soon after falling for a trap laid by Watford Town. Janardhanan (24) and newly promoted Vaghela (19) from the 4's steadying the ship but then came the mini collapse with the 3's on 64-3 after 16 overs. With some wily slow bowlers on John (33*/48) and Firfire (15/34) had to settle the ship. They saw off the best bowers and batted out a few maidens and got to drinks. Watford Town had to bring on their 4th and 5th change bowlers and that brought loose deliveries. John and Firfire started picking off easy singles and two's putting on a partnership of 48 getting Town to 112 and within sight of the finish line. After two quick wickets John hit the winning runs with a boundary.

A much more composed and patient batting performance was the difference this week and resulted in a thoroughly professional win.
