Match report Northwood Town hosted bottom of the table Reed in what turned out to be a pretty one sided game. Losing the toss, Town skipper K Patel was pleasantly surprised, when the opposition decided to bat first. There were concerns about the game happening at all given the heavy rains previously and the wicket didn’t look easy.

Opening bowler Daly has been in wonderful form the last few weeks and he got to work on the Reed top order straight away, having them 20/3 after 10 overs. Spinners K Patel and Anjum followed and the wickets kept tumbling, Anjum in particular bowling a sensational spell, turning the ball square and beating the bat on numerous occasions. Madhavan and Vadgama polished off the tail and Reed ended up with a gettable 105.

Aggarwal started like a man on a mission, pummeling the Reed bowlers to all parts and played another brilliant knock of 60 to all but seal Town’s 30 points. Vadgama and Halai knocking off the final few runs to secure Town’s victory and a comfortable chase inside 20 overs and by 4pm!
