Match report Town arrived at Harpenden VI to a chorus of Moooos, courtesy of the boisterous wildlife in an adjacent field.

Having lost the toss, Town were sent into bat on a green deck, which offered plenty early on. Despite the best efforts of Town's top order, they found themselves 4 down with less than 50 on the board, courtesy of some excellent bowling from Harpenden's youthful attack.

A solid counter-attack from Khetia (55) and Maniya (34), brought Town back into the game. With the tail wagging (and a frankly enormous bull cheering us on!), Town pushed on to a very respectable total of 156 for 8 from the 40 overs.

In response, Town competed well, with Myring in particular rattling the opposition with some excellent pace bowling.

Harpenden though dug deep and they continued to accumulate runs, capitalising on several dropped chances.

Despite a valiant effort, Town were eventually outplayed on the day, with Harpenden winning well by 7 wickets.
