Match report NTCC hosted Langleybury 3s this week and our vice captain won the toss and gentlemanly requested the opposition to bat first.

NTCC continued to take advantage of home conditions and an overcast sky with a superb thrusting opening spell from Deepak (2 wickets) and Stanley. Runs were hard to come by despite the opposition gallantly trying to push the score along. Our new young talent Teja continued his discipline and guile but avoiding the proverbial jug to pick up 4 wickets. The Bollywood paparazzi could not stop our local hero from picking up three superb wickets again this week, more details of this story on NDTV. The opposition crumbled and despite their youngsters boldly fighting at the tail, their innings was wrapped up in the 28th over for 74 runs.

After tea our newly appointed opening partnership of Mitesh and Lal set about hammering into the target score. Again Mitesh mastery with the willow saw him batting with aplomb sending the ball to all corners of the Chestnut Avenue ground. A late cameo from Sanjay saw the target comfortably achieved in the 13th over.

A solid win but yet again highly disciplined bowling and fielding set the early tone of the match. Great to see our players all complimenting each other and supporting throughout.
