Match report Town started their final league game with 13 points required to guarantee safety in division 4a.

Losing the toss and being asked to bat, Town started with 9 men and without 2 of their top 3 - Loomba, rushing home from a Gatwick airport and Mikhil who didnt wake up in time. With Vadgama and Janardhan having a shaky start, both out LBW within quick succession, Unalkat took the crease alongside Loomba, batting at 4 for the first time in several years. A handy partnership was built before Unalkat nicked off to Peters, Sandridges loopy off-spinner. It was a similar story with Burt and Kyle, a couple of mini partnerships before losing a wicket. With the tail approaching and Town without a batting point, it took a courageous innings from Raj Kotecha to support Loomba to get town up to a score. With Kotecha suicidally running himself out and Loomba hitting a full toss down deep square legs throat, 156/8 looked worryingly short. Thankfully, a 10th wicket partnership of Mikhil and Daly propelled Town up to a very defendable 213 - 6 wickets required to keep them in the division.

After an excellent Lawrence tea, it was up to best friends Lawrence and Daly to get Town off to a flying start and they didnt disappoint. Relentless lines ensured Sandridges batsmen had no room to play and Kyle surprisingly kept hitting the stumps, bowling both openers! With support from Daly and Shah, Lawrence bowled a spell of pure fire to skittle through the Sandridge order. With a couple of dropped catches, Kyle can count himself unlucky that he only got 6! A fantastic, match winning spell. With 30 points on the horizon, golden arm Kotecha finished them off and secured the 30 points for Town.
