Match report NTCC 3s travelled to Aldenham school to take on the mighty Letchmore. A winning toss saw NTCC skipper insert the opposition onto a soft and moist track.

Once again superb bowling and fielding saw NTCC dominate the first innings. Opening hostile spells from Pratik (1 wicket) and Henry (2 wickets) saw the top order batsmen chinning and swaying from bouncing and cutting deliveries. Meet executed 3 well judged catches as he hovered menacingly in the short square leg region, Henry took a superb sky high catch at deep square leg and Sageeran was rudely awakened by a sitter in the covers. Our bowling continued to excel in the middle overs with Jay (1 wicket) bowling magnificently and JB (2 wickets) twisting and turning from the other end. Middle order resistance saw the opposition post 124 at the end of their 40 overs.

NTCC openers Ravi and Akshar started strong. Both played diligently and with patience. Akshar (12) was undone by a ball that straightened and squeezed through his bat and pad. Ravi (50 not out) continued to concentrate and set his mind to making a big score, At over 8 he was joined by Pradip (29 not out) and the two veterans set about demolishing the opposition bowling attack in continued rotation. By the 21st over the two were plotting there way to maiden fifties in the 3s and the 22nd over saw Pradip smash the winning runs over the mid-on boundary.

A satisfying win played with maturity and fortitude, let's take that mindset into the remainder of the season.
