Match report NTCC 4s were playing away to Abbotts Langley today on an astro wicket. Winning the toss, skipper Sam decided to bowl first. Ntcc opened the bowling with Shahmir and Vivek who got off to a good start keeping the run rate low with Vivek striking in his 6th over. We then saw a great spell by Thinooach who got two maidens in his first two overs and had an around good spell. Stanley on the other end was bowling well and took a wicket in his fourth over. The Langley middle order were making use of anything short and hitting big shots where they could eventually putting up 213 for us to chase.

Sam and Abs came in to open and we're looking steady picking up runs from loose deliveries until Sam got bowled in the 5th over. We then saw some resilient batting from the rest of the team with a good dug in spell from Tushar and a magnificent effort from Roney scoring 30 runs off of 39 balls. Everyone made a contribution with the bat however the target stayed a bit out of sight despite us putting up a good fight. We batted out 38 overs with some great performances which is a positive to take into our next game where we will try to make a better opening start to compliment the work that we've seen further down the order. On to next week!
