Match report Northwood Town IV travelled to Elstree to play Hatch End II. With Saras standing in as “unofficial” vice captain in the absence of Dhaval, Captain Sam won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Vivek bowled tightly swinging the ball and picking up 3 wickets and totalling figures of 16 runs for 3 wickets off of 5 overs. Saras at the opposite end bowled his leggies well with the new ball and ended his spell on 24 runs off of 5 overs.

Keval, Maaz and Stanley all bowled economically picking up a couple of wickets between them, and Amit wrapped up Hatch End’s lower order taking 4 wickets and they finished on 121 all out.

Town got off to a shaky start with skipper Sam dismissed for a third ball duck. Roney and Shiju restarted Town’s chase scoring 12 and 24 respectively. Hatch End’s bowlers were generally pretty quick compared with what we've seen in the league and took wickets at a regular rate. Some good hitting from Saras, Stanley and Amit brought the team closer to a victory, however Town fell short by 1 run getting all out on the drawing point.
