Match report Today the toss was won against division toppers Edgware and the decision was made to insert the oppo and chase a target.

Despite some concerted bowling and fielding the opposition openers got off to a flying start scoring over 4 runs an over and at the 1st drinks break (15 overs) threatening to push the score well beyond 200. Our catching faltered and extras continued to torment. Fortunately the 1st wicket fell at the half way mark and this mercifully slowed down the run rate. Our fielding suddenly improved with 8 catches being held and the gold wicket take once again our Bollywood superhero Pradip picking up a fifer. Het and Kish taking two wickets apiece. The innings ended on 171 in the 40 overs.

There was not much to say about our batting performance, the top order failed to fire this week and it was left to a handful of batsmen Kishan (25) and Sageeran (17) to provide any resistance. The wicket deteriorated significantly and with an unpredictable bounce NTCC were rolled all out for 82.

Concentration next week on patience and perhaps choosing to bat first on these still mid-season damp wickets.
